Himalayan Zoological Park

Himalayan Zoological Park, in Gangtok, is located on a hill near Ganesh Tok. It is at an altitude of 5,840 ft. It is a large zoo and visitors need to walk a considerable distance to see all that the zoo has to offer. Some of the Himalayan fauna in the zoo are Himalayan Black Bear, snow leopard, the leopard cat, Tibetan wolf, and Red Pandas besides some beautiful birds.

Hanuman Tok, Gangtok

According to the local legends, when Hanuman was flying with the mountain with Sanjeevani herbs (mythological life saving herb) to save Lord Rama’s brother Lakshmana, he rested at this spot for some time where his temple now lies. The locals used to worship a stone here for centuries. The temple is popularly known as wish-fulfilling temple.
