Christmas Eve | Visit to Ranchi Zoo

We were planning for quite a time about how to celebrate Christmas eve this time. After long deliberation, we zeroed in on visiting the Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park at Ormanjhi in Ranchi. I last visited it some 13-14 years ago. The place has since been changed a lot. It was a nice day spent at the zoo watching the animals enjoying their winter sun in captivity. Jungle Safari | Lataguri & Gorumara National Park (West Bengal)

Dooars are the alluvial floodplains in northeastern India that lie south of the outer foothills of the Himalayas and north of the Brahmaputra River basin stretching from the Teesta River in West Bengal to the Dhanshiri River in Assam. Himalayan Zoological Park (Gangtok)

Himalayan Zoological Park, in Gangtok, is located on a hill near Ganesh Tok. It is at an altitude of 5,840 ft. It is a large zoo and visitors need to walk a considerable distance to see all that the zoo has to offer. Some of the Himalayan fauna in the zoo are Himalayan Black Bear, snow leopard, the leopard cat, Tibetan wolf, and Red Pandas besides some beautiful birds.
