I can’t believe I turned 29!

I turned 29 on October 15. My mind is honestly blown about how quickly time passes. Just like that, my 20’s are getting over. It’s been an eventful decade of my life. I have become a qualified doctor. I began my professional career. And just before I turned 29, I got engaged to a lovely young lady. I might get married before I turn 30! I couldn’t be happier with the way my birthday turned out. I got to spend time with everyone that I love and to have a chat with everyone who called me to greet me. It was truly an amazing time.

Celebrate International Mother Language Day

Languages are disappearing: a worldwide shared interest and commitment is needed to help them survive. Languages disappear when their speakers do! This can happen due to internal factors, such as when a community has a negative attitude towards its own language and does not maintain or protect it from extinction, or due to external factors, such as when a government pursues a policy for a ‘lingua franca’. Let us all celebrate today the International Mother Language Day and promote linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism every day.

He knew how the stars will die | Chandrasekhar

Chandrasekhar became famous for his discoveries about the evolution of the stars. His work was vast, and he began early, developing his theory of stars’ evolution before he had even turned 20. Google is changing its logo globally to a doodle of him and the Chandrasekhar Limit. That refers to his calculation that once a star reaches 1.44 times the size of our own sun, it doesn’t form a white dwarf as expected but collapses, eventually becoming a black hole.

Indian Independence Day | Baghdad

Being observed as India’s Independence Day, August 15 is celebrated across the nation with great patriotism and enthusiasm. The UK Parliament passed the Indian Independence Act in 1947 on July 4, 1947 and transferred legislative sovereignty to the Indian Constituent Assembly. This was the end of the British rule in India and on August 15, 1947, India got its independence but by establishing two Dominions, India and Pakistan. Indian national flag was hoisted in the morning on this occasion at the residence of the Indian ambassador in Baghdad.
