A Day Out at Birsa Zoo: Experiences & Wildlife Encounters

As we approach the new year, amidst the challenges of COVID-19, I share our Christmas Eve trip to Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park, Ranchi. The zoo, set in lush surroundings, impressed us with efficient parking, eco-conscious initiatives, and diverse transport options. We encountered a wide range of animals, from birds to big cats, and appreciated educational information about them. Despite some tiredness, it was a fulfilling day with my family. Jaldapara: When the Road Decides the Story

A spontaneous trip from Lataguri to Jaldapara National Park saw unexpected delights, such as quiet drives through beautiful landscapes and encounters with local wildlife. The travelers are not allowed into the park due to monsoon but they stayed in a nearby resort that borders the park, where they enjoyed pleasant accommodations, good food, and a tranquil atmosphere. They visited Bhutan's Phuentsholing, before returning to Siliguri after a short, but enjoyable stay.

When Plans Washed Away: A Serendipitous Sojourn Through the Dooars

Stranded en route to Gangtok by monsoon-triggered landslides, we detoured into the emerald expanse of the Dooars. From the graceful Coronation Bridge over the Teesta to the rustic charm of Lataguri and the buffalo-cart safari at Gorumara, every moment unfolded like a storybook. The Dooars turned a disrupted journey into an unforgettable encounter with nature and culture.

I recently visited the Himalayan Zoological Park in Gangtok, Sikkim, nestled in the Himalayas. The park, spread over 67.56 acres, houses rare and endangered species, including red pandas, leopards, and Himalayan black bears. The natural habitats within the park make it a unique and immersive experience. It's a must-visit for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers visiting Gangtok, offering a glimpse of the diverse Himalayan fauna.
