Nestled in the tranquil outskirts of Tatisilwai, approximately 25 kilometres away from the bustling capital of Jharkhand, Ranchi, lies a hidden gem waiting to be discovered – Mount Magica. Having heard glowing reviews from friends, my curiosity was piqued, and I had been eagerly anticipating a visit to this picturesque farmhouse for quite some time. Finally, the stars aligned, and with the arrival of my sister-in-law, Gungun, a plan was set into motion to embark on an adventure to Mount Magica on Sunday, the 26th of June, 2022.

Before our expedition, I reached out to the manager of Mount Magica to confirm our booking, ensuring a seamless experience for our group. As the dawn of Sunday broke, we eagerly prepared ourselves to embark on our journey, brimming with excitement and anticipation. Our convoy consisted of family members, including my mom, uncle Rajanth, Gudiya Mausi, and her daughter, as well as my wife Tania and Gungun, with two modes of transport: our trusty Maruti Ciaz and my faithful Bullet motorcycle.

The road leading to Mount Magica was a scenic delight, with smooth stretches interrupted only by a brief off-road excursion in the final kilometre. The journey itself was a testament to the beauty of the surrounding countryside, setting the stage for a day of exploration and relaxation.

Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the manager and guided to our designated seating area within the rustic charm of the resort huts. The ambience exuded a delightful blend of rural hospitality and modern amenities, promising an immersive experience amidst nature’s embrace.

Our day unfolded with delightful surprises at every turn. We were treated to a sumptuous breakfast of Chicken Chilly and Paneer Chilly, accompanied by piping hot cups of tea and coffee, setting the tone for a day filled with culinary delights.

Engaging in a myriad of activities provided by the resort, including carrom, badminton, and cricket, we lost track of time amidst laughter and friendly competition. The lunch spread, comprising of rice, roti, chicken, mixed vegetables, and dal, was a testament to the culinary prowess of the chef, prepared with homely simplicity and served with warmth.

As the afternoon sun began to wane, we took a leisurely stroll to soak in the natural beauty surrounding us before indulging in evening tea, coffee, and hot pakoras, bidding adieu to Mount Magica with hearts full of cherished memories.

Before we could realize it, it was 5:00 P.M. We were then served tea, coffee and hot pakoras as our evening snacks. After relishing our snacks, we left for our home.

Our experience at Mount Magica was nothing short of magical. From the warm hospitality to the delectable cuisine and engaging activities, every moment spent there was a testament to the joy of discovery and the beauty of shared experiences.
