Special Moment: Travelled with MS Dhoni

Hey guys, I have some exciting news to share with you all. I just met Mahender Singh Dhoni, the legendary cricketer, on my flight from Delhi to Ranchi. Yes, you heard that right. The one and only MSD was travelling right next to me in the bus to board the flight. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw him boarding the bus. He is one of my idols and I have been following his career since I was a kid.

I was today returning home from my institute via Delhi.  When I was going to board the Indigo flight in the evening, I was surprised to see Dhoni on our bus! He was also returning to his home in Ranchi. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I’m a huge fan of Dhoni and his cricketing skills. He is one of the best captains India has ever had, and he has won so many trophies for the country. He is also a great batsman, wicket-keeper, and finisher. He has played some of the most memorable innings in cricket history. He is a true legend of the game.

I went to him and asked for his autograph. He immediately signed on the back of my boarding pass. We had a very pleasant and friendly chat while the bus was moving towards the plane. He happily obliged me and two other co-passengers, when we asked for a picture with him. In fact, he himself took the selfie! He’s so humble!

It’s a great memorable moment in my life and I am really excited. Six years ago, I met another all-time great ODI player, the Sri Lankan all-rounder, Sanath Jayasuriya, on our flight. We were travelling from Colombo to Bangalore. Jayasuriya was traveling to join Mumbai Indian team, he was playing for in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

I was over the moon after talking to him. He was everything I hoped he would be and more. He was not only a great cricketer but also a great human being. He made my day and gave me a memory that I will cherish forever. I felt so lucky to see him in person. It was a dream come true for me. I will never forget this day in my life. It was one of the best moments ever.

Please leave your comments below and let me know what you think of Dhoni and his cricketing career. Do you like him as much as I do? Have you ever seen him in person? If yes, how was your experience?
