As the night drew to a close and the stars shone with an incredible brilliance, our driver escorted us back towards the lights of Dubai, dropping me off at the very same petrol pump where my adventure had begun just a few hours earlier. Stepping out of the Land Cruiser, I felt a sense of exhilaration and contentment wash over me.
