Celebrating One Year of Love: Our Anniversary Reflection

Hey there, wonderful readers! It feels like just yesterday that I married yet here I am, reflecting on an entire year of marriage. May 3rd marked our first wedding anniversary, and what a journey it has been! From the ups and downs to the cherished memories and milestones, I am excited to share a glimpse of our celebration and the reflections that come with it.

This past year has been nothing short of incredible. Like any journey, we’ve faced our share of challenges, but through it all, our love has only grown stronger. We’ve learned so much about each other, deepening our connection and understanding with each passing day..

Looking back, it’s astonishing how time flies. From our adventures in Dumka to the scenic beauty of Takdah, each moment feels like it’s etched in our hearts forever. Whether it’s exploring prehistoric caves or savouring the serenity of the Himalayas, these memories encapsulate the essence of our first year together.

And let me just tell you how fast this year has gone by. I have been sitting here trying to find the words to perfectly describe our first year of marriage…but rather than words or descriptions popping into my head, memories are what come instead. Memories from these last 365 days embody the image of our first year. But when I think of our first year of marriage, I think more of the little memories we have made…

There are a few small things like going on our first vacation together to Ghatshila (Jharkhand) on New Year’s Eve and enjoying the road trip on my bike. We went to prehistoric caves in Jharkhand. We went to Kolkata with my parents to meet my granny and the wedding of my dad’s friend’s son. The most memorable one was our recent trip to Takdah, Darjeeling, West Bengal, in the lap of the Himalayas.

That aside, being married to such a lovely woman has been bliss. I’m lucky I’m this blessed to have someone who takes good care of me and my family and makes me her priority.

My wife, T’s parents came to our house in Ranchi (Jharkhand) along with my two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law to be with us for our wedding anniversary celebration. We had lunch together and cut a cake in the afternoon.

One of the joys of marriage is sharing life’s moments with your partner, and I’m blessed to have a wife who not only cares for me but also prioritizes my family. Our anniversary celebration was a testament to the love and support we’ve received from our loved ones. From intimate moments with family to a joyous gathering at the Capitol Residency Hotel in Ranchi, every part of the day was filled with warmth and love.

We wanted to live the wedding moment again and so we exchanged our rings before cutting the cake. My parents gifted T a diamond Mangal sutra, which I tied around her neck. The exchange of rings, the cutting of cake, and delicious dinner—all made our celebration truly unforgettable. Special thanks to Mr. Kundu and the hotel staff for their impeccable arrangements, making our day even more magical.

But amidst the celebrations, what stands out the most is the unwavering support and encouragement from my partner. Together, we’ve celebrated milestones big and small, and I know that with her by my side, there are many more adventures awaiting us..

As I reflect on our first year of marriage, I am filled with immense gratitude and love. To have found my soulmate is a blessing beyond measure, and I eagerly look forward to the countless moments we’ll share in the years to come. Here’s to love, laughter, and endless adventures!

Thank you for joining me on this journey, and here’s to celebrating the beauty of love each and every day.
